ECHO

The definition of an echo – a repetition of sound produced by the reflection of sound waves from a surface – is the impetus for this 2012 work of art, also inspired by the invisible sound waves that emulate from the amphitheater and reverberate onward in space.  For the artists, these invisible concentric sound waves inform, bring joy and sorrow, create beauty, and touch the human souls in many ways.  The semi-transparent silvery sculpture also displays shifting moiré patterns interactive with the viewer.  The fabricated aluminum material is extremely durable, able to withstand extreme climate conditions, and is finished in a clear coat. The piece measures 16’H x 15’W x 6’D.
